Hola,

I’m Lidia Boiso, or Laly, as most people call me. I’m an award-winning Bilingual (Multicultural) Creative Copywriter (cd/acd), a tin toy robot tinkerer, and vintage toy repair addict.

I’m a senior creative with a lovely accent and a lot of international experience that includes virtually every product category: from toys to spirit beverages, and from beauty to package goods…but telecom and cars seem to be my shtick lately.

My career took off when I won JWT Creative Student contest “A Career with Walter Thompson” while pursuing my bachelor’s degree in mass communications. From there I had the privilege of working at several prestigious international agencies including J. Walter Thompson, McCann Erickson, Leo Burnett, Havas (Euro RSCG), Mullen Lowe (Latinvox-Profero), and Saatchi & Saatchi.

I’ve been living in the US for the last 20 years, so I have ample experience in the US-Hispanic market.

I’ve led and I’ve been led. I thrive in both roles. I’m a hands-on strategic thinking creative and passionately believe in the power of compelling stories that connect deeply and thrive in any media. I developed ideas for diverse channels including traditional advertising, direct mail, digital platforms, and social.

I’d created brands from scratch -I love finding them a voice-, undertook the huge task of making beautiful and creative retail, and come up with fun and engaging social campaigns.

I’m a firm believer in teamwork and partnering with other teams throughout the creative process, from strategy to production to ensure that all work is delivered on strategy, on-target, and that the result is beautiful. My experience also includes collaborating with specialized agencies to craft cohesive and relevant messages, which is crucial for the US-Hispanic market. 

I’m annoyingly fast and detail-oriented, my account team workmates can vouch for this.

I have lived in four different countries, so I speak fluently four different types of Spanish…well, five considering I lived on both coasts of the US : )

Now, really, being a global citizen has helped me understand and connect with other idiosyncrasies. I love languages and have become a collector of nuances and strange words.

OK, yes and I also collect vintage Japanese robots, but that’s going on a tangent. I speak Spanish and English, can defend myself in French and Italian, and can read Portuguese and Catalan.
